in my experience reddit is absolutely abysmal for any kind of engagement with any kind of media and anything that could qualify as fandom, low-key annoying but overall useful for more general hobbies like tech or running or cooking

and where it truly fucking excels is in those moments where you discover tens of thousands of posts dedicated to some ridiculously specific phenomenon you were previously unaware of like food that should’ve been served on plates not being served on plates which when observed on that scale becomes the funniest thing you’ve ever seen in your fucking life
